What better excuse to get together with family and friends than hosting a fundraising event for Crisis Assistance Ministry. It is fun, gratifying and benefits the entire community.

Take Jane Hixson, for example, who created a beautiful, touching way to honor her loved ones while raising funds for people in need. Since 1997, Jane's annual Loved Ones Luncheon has raised more than $79,000 for Crisis Assistance Ministry.

 
Or Nancy Green, who is hosting her second annual Gift Shower to benefit Crisis Assistance Ministry. After hearing about the agency at her church, Sharon Presbyterian, Nancy hosted a party last year for 30 friends (above), all of whom arrived with new kitchen items to be donated to Crisis Assistance Ministry's Free Store, which provides clothing and housewares free of charge to people in need. This year's attendees are asked to donate winter coats.
