When she came to Crisis Assistance Ministry, Kim and her children were on the brink of homelessness. Your financial support provided emergency rent assistance to keep her family housed and weekly budgeting and financial planning sessions where Kim gained the skills and confidence to navigate future challenges.
It has not all been smooth sailing. At times she has struggled to make rent or pay for a car repair but has been able to get by on her own and her persistence has paid off.
She recently started a new career in the mortgage industry and has already received two promotions. The permanent work-from-home position also allows her to be more hands-on with her autistic son and his schoolwork, which is more challenging virtually. Her presence has helped both her son and daughter succeed but as she says, “without each of you, some of my accomplishments would not have been possible.”
