Crisis Assistance Ministry's Free Store has been a lifeline for Charlotte families since its founding. The agency has been providing essential items like clothing and household goods at no cost for almost over 50 years! In 2023, over 1.1 million items were distributed to families.

Hoping to drop off some gently-used items to help your neighbors?
Our donation drive-thru is open Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Crisis Assistance Ministry, 500-A Spratt St, Charlotte, NC 28206.
You can find a list of our most needed items along with what we can not accept on our website under the Donate tab.

A little makeup can go a long way! Our friends at @shmetrolina shared a pallet of makeup to help boost the confidence of our neighbors who shop here, free of charge, for essentials. The team at @avidxchange generously assembled these special items and prepared them for placement in the Free Store. We couldn't contain our enthusiasm about sharing our time with @providenceprepschool.

From sorting donations to helping shoppers, they did it all!

They received dignified donations from generous donors, inspected items to prepare for the Free Store, hung clothing on racks, sorted hangers and organized the clothing station to ensure it was well-stocked with much-needed tools for their peers, assisted neighbors as they shopped for basic necessities in the Free Store, and worked in the "FLEX" role between the warehouse and the store to keep everything running smoothly. Thank you for exceeding expectations for our neighbors.

August was a month of pure magic! ✨Our community came together in incredible ways, proving that kindness and compassion are alive and well.
