This month we were thrilled to welcome volunteers from Allstate to our volunteer army. Through its employee volunteer program, Allstate empowers individuals to make a positive impact on their communities.
This year, we’re especially grateful to Dana Pruitt, an Allstate employee who nominated Crisis Assistance Ministry for an Allstate Foundation Helping Hands Grant. Thanks to Dana and the Foundation’s support, we’ve been awarded a grant to further our mission and continue to stabilize housing for low-wage earners in Mecklenburg County.

The team served in the morning and the afternoon in the Free Store Production area where teams of up to 60 can participate together. Volunteers in this area play a crucial role in sorting, inspecting, sizing, and hanging donated items, ensuring that families in our community have access to essential goods at no cost.
