This holiday season, Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Taylor Moton and his family teamed up with Crisis Assistance Ministry to bring Toys from Thomas to life for families working hard toward financial stability.
The event celebrated 30 families served by Crisis Assistance Ministry and are actively taking steps to build stability for themselves and their children. Joyful and dignified, the event was rooted in connection, generosity, and community.

More Than Toys
At first glance, Toys from Thomas may sound like a traditional holiday toy giveaway. In reality, it reflects something much deeper. Through this initiative, Taylor Moton and his family show up for neighbors in need, provide meaningful relief, and create moments of joy — especially during a season that can be financially overwhelming for many families.
Guided by the belief that great communities win when everyone’s in the game, the Moton family personally shopped for each participating family, ensuring every gift was thoughtful and intentional. Throughout the event, they spent time connecting with families — dancing, celebrating, and taking photos — creating an atmosphere that felt personal, warm, and uplifting.
A live DJ kept the celebration going, leading popular line dances that brought parents and children together on the dance floor. Laughter, music, and shared moments filled the space, reminding everyone present that community care goes far beyond material support.

Supporting Stability
In addition to receiving new toys, each family was invited to shop for a winter coat in the Crisis Assistance Ministry Free Store. Families also received a surprise financial gift from the Moton family to help support essential needs such as rent and utilities — reinforcing that Toys from Thomas is about stability, dignity, and long-term impact, not just seasonal giving.
Toys from Thomas is part of Taylor Moton’s broader philanthropic work through the Taylor Moton Fund, which invests in communities and supports families through intentional, people-centered giving.
