For the past four years, Jan and Sue have been making time each week to volunteer together at Crisis Assistance Ministry. They have seen how your donations provide invaluable wrap-around services for our neighbors in need and are asking you to join them by making a gift today to double your impact.
DO GOOD Week, now in its fifth year, was created by SHARE Charlotte, to both celebrate and encourage volunteerism with local Charlotte nonprofits during National Volunteer Week. Kurt Brummert began volunteering with his employer, Bank of America. But before long he was leading the team of volunteers in twice-monthly efforts and spending his vacation helping out too.
In fiscal year 2020, volunteers collectively contributed over $1 million worth of time and expertise to meeting the basic needs of families in our community. During a video conference celebration, volunteers were honored for their continued commitment to preventing homelessness and preserving dignity even in 2020’s ever-changing and challenging environment.
