Carol Hardison - Chief Executive Officer

Carol Hardison is the second executive of Crisis Assistance Ministry. Her job is to ensure the mission of the agency is carried out through work with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and donors. She came to Crisis Assistance Ministry in 2000 after 18 years at Duke Energy Corporation as a manager and consultant in the Information Technology Department. Her lifelong passion for helping those in poverty is  being fulfilled through her work at Crisis Assistance Ministry.

Steven Chastain - Chief Operating Officer

Steven Chastain is responsible for agency operations including safety, security, facilities, strategic planning, and executive operations.  He joined the agency after a successful career in the United States Navy and holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Queens University of Charlotte.

Mike Davis - Chief Advancement Officer

Mike Davis is responsible for all fundraising, volunteer management, and material goods donors functions.  He joined the agency in 2014 after serving in development roles at Penland School of Crafts and McColl Center for Art + Innovation.  Prior to entering nonprofit work, Mike spent 20 years in banking at what is now Wells Fargo.  He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Ashley Medford - Human Resource Manager

Ashley Medford is responsible for managing human resources and stewarding the agency’s strategic priority to “foster a culture that motivates and rewards staff – our number one asset”.  Ashley joined Crisis Assistance Ministry in 2012 after having served in various human resources management and information technology positions.  She holds a BS in Business Administration and Information Systems from Reinhardt University, and a MA in Human Resources Management from Webster University. 

Raquel Lynch - Chief Program Officer

Raquel Lynch is responsible for managing all assistance programs: maintaining relationships with partners, ensuring compliance with contracts, and making certain the people we serve are treated with dignity and respect. She also provides vision and leadership in the development of a comprehensive Community Advocacy Program to lead this community to understand and address poverty. Before joining Crisis Assistance Ministry’s Leadership Team, her work focused on programs and infrastructure development at two of Charlotte’s leading immigrant rights organization, the Latin American Coalition and the International House respectively. 

A native of Venezuela, she holds a BA in Communications from Hofstra University, she recently completed the NYU’s Wagner IGNITE Fellowship and the Wake Forest University’s Business Essentials for Nonprofit Organizations program. Raquel also is a graduate of the American Leadership Forum, Leadership Development Initiative.  She has served in a variety of boards and committees to contribute her expertise, she currently serves on the board of Legal Services of Southern Piedmont and is a member of the NC Assets Alliance Steering Committee.

 

Tim Ryan - Chief Financial Officer

Tim Ryan leads business and financial operations for the agency, overseeing in excess of $13 million in financial transactions yearly. Before joining the agency in November 2016, he served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer at TRUPOINT Partners in Charlotte. Tim is a graduate of Babson College. He is an avid reader who also enjoys running and spending time with family and friends.

 

Sue Wright - Chief Information Officer

Sue Wright is responsible for all agency information technology (IT) strategy and computer systems and managing strategic projects. Sue joined the agency in 2013 after 15 years in IT consulting and project management. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University.
