Crisis Assistance Ministry is honored to join with 9 other organizations to host Matthew Desmond, author of Evicted! Poverty and Profit in the American City in Charlotte next month.

FIND A BOOK CLUB, OR HOST ONE YOURSELFBefore his appearance, you're invited to take part in an Evicted book club and learn about issues the book raises and how they play out in Charlotte and the Carolinas.  Almost 30 local book clubs will convene ahead of the September 27 public event. You can find a book club, access study guides, and background info, or look into hosting your own study group at evictedbookclubclt.org hosted by the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute.
