Thanks to Tokai Carbon #volunteers, our community is staying warm this winter! Their team volunteered at our warehouse, helping us prepare for the upcoming Roof Above events. They unloaded a @cintas_corp truck full of coats, organized and sized them, and assisted with inspecting and hanging donations. Plus, they treated waiting families to delicious Chick-fil-A breakfast biscuits! We're grateful for their support and the strong relationships we've built with Tokai Carbon.

The King Center's theme for MLK Day 2025 is "Mission Possible: protecting freedom, justice, and democracy in the spirit of nonviolence365." Fifty-seven years after his death, we still see the impacts of unjust systems every day at Crisis Assistance Ministry. Read more in this weekend's blog (link in bio)

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr, Day, Crisis Assistance Ministry will be closed on Monday, January 20th. This includes all services for customers, donors, staff, and volunteers.

We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, January 21st.

This year, @aramark went above and beyond, providing a table with essential winter gear for 350 neighbors, including hats, gloves, scarves, hand warmers, and chapstick. After being awarded a grant they raised their hands to assist offsite at @roofabove Hill Rock Estates and Moore Place coat pop-ups. Aramark volunteers even acted as personal stylists, helping each person find the perfect coat. Thank you, Aramark for your commitment to helping our neighbors live with dignity.

✨ So grateful for the work of 32 #volunteers from @elliottdavisllc who "showed up and showed out" organizing donations, and stocking the store with essentials for families who shop here free of charge! ✨ ❄️🥶 They didn't let a little cold weather stop them from giving back. ❄️🥶

WEATHER RELATED CLOSURE: Due to expected inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, Crisis Assistance Ministry will be closed to customers and volunteers beginning at 12 noon on Friday, January 10 and remain closed on Saturday, January 11, 2025. This includes Free Store shopping, PASS shopping, and all volunteer shifts. We plan to return to typical business hours on Monday, January 13.
