Meet two lovely ladies – Jan and Sue. They met while training to be tutors, became instant friends, and decided they wanted to find another volunteer opportunity in Charlotte that they could do together. For the past four years, they have been making time each week to volunteer together at Crisis Assistance Ministry to double their impact.
They have seen how your donations provide invaluable wrap-around services for our neighbors in need. From emergency rent and utility assistance to financial coaching and counseling, your support helps families move beyond a financial crisis and achieve housing stability. Your donations of money, volunteer time, and clothing and household goods make it possible for individuals to shop free-of-charge for essential items so they can put their hard-earned money toward other bills.
Helping sort and stock donations for the Free Store and interacting with customers gives Jan and Sue a real sense of purpose. “It is a pride too,” says Sue, “that there is a place like this in our community.”
