Four New Members Elected in 2022
Dr. Lucinda Blue is Chair of the Business Administration and Economics Department at Johnson C. Smith University. Retired from Duke Energy in Information Technology Management, she holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration w/ a concentration in Management and Information Technology Systems from The Union Institute & University, an MBA from Winthrop University, a BA in Economics from Johnson C. Smith University, and a Certificate in Project Management. Her expertise in online course design, risk management, and project management. An active member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, she has a deep passion for people experiencing poverty.
Kati Everett is the Chief Communications Officer and Senior Vice President of Public Relations for Novant Health where she oversees public relations, social media, brand journalism, internal communications, and creative services activities across a multi-state health system. Experienced in the nonprofit community, she brings a deep commitment to the agency’s mission and the people served here. An accredited public relations professional through the Public Relations Society of America, she is a recipient of the John L. Thomason Award from the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations & Marketing Society—considered the highest honor in her field.
Debra L. Foster is principal at Debra L. Foster, PLLC, a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law. She consistently ranks among the top 50 female attorneys in any field of law in North Carolina and has been recognized as one of Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite for two decades. She brings a deep-rooted commitment to social justice and a passion for helping families who are struggling financially along with her extensive legal expertise.
Tamera Green is President and Founder of VIRIDIAN Marketing. A respected industry veteran with more than two decades of experience in marketing, her career includes innovative partnership marketing programs for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Her expertise has been critical to her leadership of key public campaigns on behalf of local governments. An active member of Providence Presbyterian Church, she is deeply engaged in the nonprofit community and has a heart for service.

Crisis Assistance Ministry is an independent, nonprofit agency offering emergency assistance to low-income families in Mecklenburg County.
